Project Manager
Job Description

Our client is a multinational top player on the FMCG market and is now looking to hire an experienced Project Manager, whose main role is to create a “center of excellence” for projects, project portfolio, and processes management in Romania.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management

  • Leads the decision making process for creating and executing Romania project portfolio, based on the organization strategic objectives and resources available
  • Creates local projects portfolio for Romania, based on department initiatives
  • Incorporates cascaded Regional / Global projects into Romania portfolio
  • Assigns resources for each project (project leader, project sponsor, team members)
  • Defines priority
  • Introduces tools for efficient portfolio management
  • Regularly reports portfolio status to Romania Management team, identifies and raises possible risks & issues; runs weekly Project Management meetings

Project Management

  • Establishes / improves project management methodology, standards and tools
  • Ensures that the standards and tools are introduced to all departments and applied to all projects
  • Trains and coaches current and future project leaders; supports them in all steps of project management (resourcing, kick-off, execution, closing) according to needs
  • Monitors progress, adjust the plans and / or escalates possible risks for higher level decision
  • Closes projects and coordinates post-evaluation of results vs expectations; communicates projects delivery to organization
  • Builds projects document library and keeps it updated
  • Personally leads few key strategic projects as Project Leader

Process Improvement

  • Maps and analyzes Romania business processes related to all areas, functions and departments
  • Looks for possibilities to improve the efficiency and optimize the processes, proposes them to Romania management team and drives the execution
  • Co-operates with Regional / Global functions to ensure that Romania business needs are met

Other:

  • Manages the agenda, coordinates preparation and runs regular management processes / meetings
  • Tracks progress of strategic initiatives & KPIs.

Skills:

  • Higher education;
  • 3-5 years experience on relevant position
  • Project & process management skills and experience
  • Skilled in systems & technologies
  • Organized and systematic with analytical thinking
  • Problem solving, proactive, solution oriented and self-driven attitude
  • Team work and communication skills
