Our client, a global FMCG company, is strengthening its Slovak team and therefore hiring a senior professional for the Corporate Affairs Manager position. The successful candidate will focus on active relationship with the government and public bodies and at the same time will play a key role in the company external and internal communication. He / she will be part of the local top management and report to the company General Director.

Position details:

  • Maintains/establishes a high-level professional network within regional and local Government authorities, Industry associations, Economic organizations and other relevant decision making representatives to anticipate and influence legislative trends and thereby create a stable and positive environment;
  • Ensures that the company plays a strong and leading role in Associations and all advocacy and public relations decisions and activities undertaken by Associations in order to create a platform for defending of primary importance for the industry;
  • Conducts regular and ongoing analysis of the shifting socio-economic, political, and media environment in the country in order to provide information on potential opportunities and threats as relates to the company´s short and long-term business activities;
  • Proactively engages in a dialogue with key stakeholders to seek reasonable solutions to the important issues that affect the products and operations;
  • Leads activities directed at the government, legislative and regulatory bodies, particularly in the areas of taxation, advertising in order to create an optimal business environment;
  • Initiates, organizes and participates at high-level events to support Government Affairs;
  • Oversees PR and direct employee communications programs and activities, including the distribution of relevant statements and press releases


  • 15+ years of experience out of that the major part in the corporate affairs or related field
  • Well connected within the relevant circles (state organisations, ministries, industry associations, media)
  • Very good knowledge of the local legislative process, knowledge of EU legislation
  • Fluent Slovak, Very Good English
  • Able to find and approach the right contacts and connect efficiently
  • Strategic and analytical thinking; very good with numbers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Representative, professional behaviour, well accepted
  • High integrity
