Our client is a construction materials producer and wholeseller with about 5,000 employees worldwide. The client produces and directly sells heat insulation, exterior and interior paints, plasters, decorative coatings, concrete protection and repair resin. Bridge Insulation, acoustic systems also can be found in variety of like-mounted or glued, ventilated thermal insulation systems.

Our client is looking for a professional Managing Director CZ/SK, who has extensive experience in construction, sales, firm leadership and likes new challenges.


Reports to:    Regional Manager Central Eastern Europe

Subordinates:    CZ operation with ca. 80 employees; direct reports:
Operations Manager, Finance Manager (CZ/SK), HR Specialist CZ/SK, Marketing Specialist, Product Manager, Sales centers Prague, Brno, Olomouc, Sales representatives
SK operation with ca 24 employees; direct reports:
3 sales centers (Bratislava, Zvolen, Košice), Sales Manager (+ 7 sales representatives), 3 service technicians, 1 Marketing Specialist, 2 accountants

Location:    Ideally Brno or Olomouc. Company is located in Moravia. The candidate has to spend some 2 days per week in the HQ (company flat is available here).

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the organization in CZ/SK
  • Representing the company on the CZ/SK market
  • Active role in the company’s evolution process, active role in managing the sales teams
  • Ensuring the transparency of the financial and reporting system
  • Defining, implementing and driving a ‘customer minded’ business approach,
  • Active management of the strategic planning and budgeting processes,
  • Building up a co-operative and reliable management team,
  • Reporting directly to the mother company.
  • Lead, develop, coach and motivate the employers to ensure that they are aware of and capable of delivering their responsibilities


  • Technical university or college degree, additional Economics or Business Administration is an advantage
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Sales Director  or Head of Sales team
  • 10 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Czech or Slovak mother tongue, fluent in English or German
