Managing Director Bulgaria
Job Description

Our client is an international leader in the construction sector (engineering solutions, B2B) being well established on the Bulgarian market. We are searching for Managing Director Bulgaria, who will lead the subsidiary and will be responsible for P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, budget and resource allocation to subsidiaries.


  • implementation and the alignment of the Group / Market Unit strategy
  • developing and implementation of the subsidiary’s long-term and mid-term effective go-to-market-strategy
  • operational control of the subsidiary
  • pushing of all sales generating activities
  • developing and maintaining of the relationships with key clients and key stakeholders
  • ensure an acceptable profitability level
  • ensure optimized project processing within and between all departments
  • implementation of the company values, compliance with the vision and mission of the Group
  • compliance with the financial guidelines of the Group, with laws, regulations, strategic tasks
  • turnover and profit per business / subsidiary
  • resource planning (HR, financial, land, assets)
  • market intelligence for the region (trends in technology, competition, market, customers)
  • defining need for new products / services / business models and implementing a product portfolio strategy
  • build up and maintain network with important stakeholders (customers, suppliers, shareholders, politics, related industries, associations, universities)
  • budgeting process for the subsidiary including resource allocation (financing, investments, personnel cost)
  • performance controlling and monitoring, setting goals and targets for the 2nd level positions


  • relevant experience in the construction/ production sectors
  • University Degree in Engineering or comparable technical skills
  • profound experience with hire&sales business model in comparable industry
  • relevant management experience in an operative, P&L, responsible unit, ideally as Managing Director
  • strategically and sales oriented
  • excellent technical understanding and project management experience, good understanding of customer needs including technical competencies
  • very good understanding of economic correlations
  • very good command of English, preferably skills in Bulgarian language
  • distinct people management and leadership skills
  • problem solving and negotiation competence
  • team spirit
  • initiative and decisive
