Our client is an international automotive company which is looking for a Plant Manager to be in charge with all their operations activities within one of their plants in Romania.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leading Production, Quality, Logistics, Process engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Launch and Engineering  Department Managers;
  • Constantly delivering safety, quality, delivery, cost, management objectives and build road map with his team to ensure constant fulfillment of the commitments towards management;
  • Plan and control cost, responsible for plant P&L and implement cost reduction activities and strong performance orientation;
  • Implement and follow up continuous improvement methods applied on the manufacturing processes (6S, Kaizen, Process Value Stream Mapping, SMED, LEAN, KANBAN);
  • Responsible for capacity management in the plant;
  • Plan for operational strategy and plant structure;
  • Involved in the development of management team and support the competency growth for the entire organization;
  • Setting up a mindset of high performance in Quality on all levels;
  • Align continuously assigned responsibility with current business strategy of company;
  • Responsible to improve the cooperation between the plant and other plants;
  • Responsible to ensure the knowledge and lessons learned transfer from other plants and responsible for adherence to the plant’s products standard processes defined globally.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or above) in  Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Leather/Textile Engineering) or related technical degree;
  • Demonstrated successful experience at a senior management level in an automotive environment;
  • Well-founded IT-skills, sound ERP knowledge in engineering and production;
  • Proven record of accomplishment in Operating Systems (Ordering, Scheduling, Manufacturing, and Logistic);
  • Experience in Profit and Loss analysis and corrective actions;
  • Proven experiences in Lean Manufacturing / Lean Methods;
  • Proven experience in crisis management;
  • Operation experiences in a country specific environment;
  • This person must maintain confidently on critical company information;
  • This person must maintain a high level of company loyalty, confidentiality, honesty and integrity;
  • Requires a person who is highly self-motivated, has respectable appearance and intercultural competencies;
  • Self-starter and independent worker, able to juggle priorities, solid analytical skills, ability to define and understand critical issues, comfortable with conflicts and target-oriented working methodology;
  • Good command of Romanian and English language.
